What to pack in an everyday tote
Water bottle, laptop or tablet, a slim folder, a small pouch for cables, a second pouch for medication and a lip balm, keys clipped to the interior pocket, and a folded spare bag for groceries.
The rule that keeps it light
Everything loose goes in a pouch. If it does not fit in a pouch, it needs a reason to be in the bag.
